DEFYING RETROGRADE

This project involved creating a proposed future trend forecast by collating research on upcoming events to predict the needs of the customer in future seasons. 'Defying Retrograde' is inspired by ongoing space expeditions and focuses on the potential need for escapism. With a focus on home interiors, this trend aims to illustrate how this outlook could influence design as the need for calming spaces becomes more vital in order to tackle modern day stresses.

The pages below are digital versions of the trend pack which was designed with the intention of being a physical outcome. With this in mind, the white shapes in the centre of each page represent the area that would have been cut out in order to reveal the layer underneath. See last image for final product.
